Do you have a passion to see young people thrive? We want to hear from you!
Youth ministry in the Church of England faces a significant challenge. The church’s disengagement and diminished attendance among young people is striking. The challenge is especially apparent in churches within the liturgical and sacramental traditions of the Church of England.
Youth Ministry in Communion Southwark (YMIC SW) is a project (established in 2024) pioneering collaborative and exciting sacramental youth ministry. This cross-parish youth network has been established in the Diocese of London to test ideas and creatively explore youth work within the sacramental tradition. We are sharing our learning with the Church of England and further afield. We work closely with our partners in YMIC London.
At the heart of YMIC are three large annual youth events, a residential, investment into local parish-based youth ministry and developing young leaders. We are seeking to hire new part-time youth workers to support this project alongside an already established team. If you are interested in finding out more or would like to apply, we would love to hear from you!
